so i finally got enough people from our local fb group together for a meetup at the reservoir last sunday. had like 8 people confirm they were coming. only 3 showed up including me. one guys drone wouldnt connect to his controller for like 20 minutes so we just stood around. then when we finally all got in the air someone's fpv quad scared the hell out of a dog walker and she was NOT happy about it. we did eventually get some decent group footage but man i was exhausted by the end of it. maybe i just expected too much idk. has anyone had better luck organizing these things or is it always kind of chaotic

lmao this is just how it goes honestly. ive done a few of these and half the people always flake. i started doing a deposit thing for our club events, even like $5 gets people to actually commit. also the fpv crowd and the cinema crowd dont always mix great, worth thinking about for next time

the dog walker thing would have stressed me out so much. were you in a designated area or just like a public spot? we had something similar happen and it kind of ruined the vibe for the whole afternoon. some people just dont want to see drones i guess no matter what you do
