so ive been flying for about two years now and honestly the solo thing is getting a little old. been watching videos of those big group fly-in events and they look like a blast. does anyone know if theres anything happening in ohio, indiana, kentucky area this summer? i have a mini 3 pro and a tiny whoop setup so im good for either kind of event i think. just dont want to drive 4 hours and show up to like 8 people in a parking lot lol

there was a decent sized one last august out near dayton, forget the club name but they had a whole field set up with FPV racing gates and a separate area for the bigger quads. probably 60-70 people showed up over the weekend. check facebook groups for your local AMA clubs, thats usually where they post that stuff way before it shows up anywhere else

im in indiana and i literally just went to my first group flight like three weeks ago and it was way more chill than i expected. nobody was snobby about gear or anything. found it through a local facebook group, think it was called something like hoosier drone pilots or whatever. worth just searching around, there's more of these than you'd think
