so ive been flying my mini 3 pro for about 6 months now and honestly most of my footage has been pretty mid but last weekend the conditions were just perfect, like the light was hitting the water at that golden hour angle and i just let it hover and slowly panned around and i think i finally got something worth sharing

ill drop the link in comments once i figure out how to upload the full res version, youtube compressed the hell out of it last time i tried. anyway curious if anyone has tips on color grading for that warm sunset look, i've been messing around in davinci resolve but not really sure what im doing

yeah youtube compression is brutal for drone footage, try exporting at a higher bitrate than you think you need, like way higher. also if you're not shooting in d-log or whatever flat profile your mini supports you're making color grading way harder on yourself. the dynamic range difference is massive once you get the hang of pulling detail out of the shadows

sunset over water is literally my favorite thing to shoot, drop that link when its up i wanna see it. also dont stress too much about the resolve stuff, there are some good free luts specifically for mini 3 footage that do like 80% of the work for you
