so i was out flying yesterday and this older guy came up and started asking me stuff and i realized i have no idea how to explain what im doing to someone who doesnt know anything about it. like i said "its a DJI" and he just nodded like that meant something to him lol

sometimes people are cool about it and sometimes you can just tell they think youre doing something sketchy even though im literally just flying in a wide open field following all the rules. idk just been on my mind

oh man yes. i got stopped by a lady once who was absolutely convinced i was spying on her house which was like 400 meters away and not even in my shot. ended up showing her my screen and she actually got kind of interested after that which was not what i expected

Most people are just curious in my experience. Kids especially always run over. The weird looks usually come from people who've seen news stories about drones near airports or whatever and they just associate all drones with that. Hard to blame them I guess but it gets old explaining yourself every single time you set up.
