this has been bugging me for a while and i finally got fed up enough to post about it. in normal mode the drone just slowly drifts to the right when i let go of the sticks, its subtle but you definitely notice it especially when trying to hold a position for a shot. manual mode feels fine to me but i dont fly manual that much.

ive done the IMU calibration a couple times, done the compass cal, made sure its on a flat surface when powering on. the RC motion controller feels fine in my hand, no obvious stick drift when i check it in the app. its almost like a trim issue but i dont see where you would even adjust that on this thing the way you would on a traditional radio.

running the latest firmware as of like two weeks ago. haven't crashed it or anything, this kind of came out of nowhere maybe a month ago. anyone seen this before or have a direction to point me

check if theres any interference around where youre arming it, metal surfaces, other electronics nearby etc. compass issues can cause exactly this kind of drift in normal mode since its using GPS and compass to hold position. if the compass is reading slightly off it'll just slowly walk in whatever direction it thinks is straight.

also worth trying a full factory reset on the aircraft through the DJI fly app and recalibrating everything fresh, not just the IMU. i had something similar after a firmware update and the full reset fixed it, no idea why.

is this indoors or outdoors? cause if youre flying it inside GPS drops out and the optical flow positioning isnt as reliable on the FPV drone as it is on like a Mini or Air series. inside drift in normal mode is pretty common with this thing, its not really designed for that. outdoors with good GPS lock it should hold position pretty well so if its doing it outside that is more of an actual issue worth chasing down
