random question but what do you guys do when its too windy to fly

  • Members

been sitting here for three days waiting for the wind to calm down, had a whole shoot planned and its just not happening. im going insane a little bit. usually i'd just go fly anyway but last time i pushed it in gusty conditions i had a pretty sketchy moment near some trees so im being smarter about it now i guess

do you guys have like a backup hobby or something you do when you cant get out? or do you just watch youtube footage and get more depressed about not flying lol

honestly i spend too much time on windy days reorganizing my gear and convincing myself i need new ND filters that i dont actually need. also watch a lot of LUT comparison videos which accomplishes nothing but here we are

i got into sim flying for exactly this reason. not gonna lie it took me a while to take it seriously but after a bad weather week last winter i started actually practicing cinematic moves on liftoff and i think my real world flying got noticeably smoother after. so theres that. also helps with the going insane thing a bit
