finally got some decent footage from my trip to the coast last weekend

so i've been flying for about a year now and honestly most of my clips have been pretty meh but something clicked this weekend. went out to the coast near where my sister lives and the light was just perfect around 6am. managed to get this long slow pull back shot over the cliffs with the fog still sitting in the valleys and i genuinely couldn't believe it came from my mini 3. posted it on my instagram but figured id share here too since you guys actually know what goes into getting a shot like that

only thing im annoyed about is i had the sharpness cranked up a bit too high in the dlog settings so some of the rock texture looks a bit crunchy after grading. still happy with it overall tho. anyone else finding the mini 3 handles coastal wind better than expected? was gusting maybe 20-25 and she held position pretty solid

that fog in the valleys thing is everything, honestly the best conditions you can ask for and most people sleep through it. i did something similar at a reservoir last spring and it was the first time i thought yeah okay this is actually worth waking up at 5am for

on the sharpness thing yeah i keep mine at -1 or -2 when shooting dlog, took me way too long to figure that out. crunchy rocks are so hard to fix in post once its baked in
