honestly the community at most local MultiGP rounds is pretty welcoming, at least every one ive been to. just dont be the guy who shows up and acts like he already knows everything and youll be fine.

impound is usually pretty chill, they just verify your video transmitter output isnt over the limit and check your frequencies dont clash with other pilots. just have your vtx set to the right band an
so i've been flying freestyle for like two years now, mostly just bashing around in parks and empty lots, and a buddy talked me into showing up to an actual MultiGP race this weekend. i have a 5inch running a 45a esc stack, f7 fc, xing2 2207s, and i've been on crossfire for ages which i know i'll need to swap to a race receiver or at least run it in diversity mode or whatever the local club requires. my issue is i genuinely dont know what the etiquette is, how impound works, what i should have in my pit kit beyond the obvious stuff, or how to not embarrass myself. i've watched races on youtube but it's different when you're actually there. do people generally help out newbies or is it one of those scenes where everyone is cliquey and you're on your own. also is there anything i should tune specifically for tight indoor-style track racing vs how i normally fly, like my rates feel super fast for the kind of gates and chicanes i see in race footage
