thinking about grabbing a prebuilt 5inch, is the iflight nazgul worth it still or should i look elsewhere

so ive been building my own quads for about 3 years now and honestly im just tired of the build process at this point. i want something i can bash around without caring too much and also not spend two weekends soldering. been looking at the nazgul eco v2 mostly because i already have iflight stuff and the parts ecosystem is familiar to me.

main thing im wondering is whether the out of box tune is actually flyable or if its gonna need a bunch of work before it feels decent. i remember reading somewhere that the stock pids on those were pretty sloppy but that might have been an older version. also does anyone know if they're still shipping with that same esc stack or did they update it recently. my biggest thing is i dont want to immediately have to swap the stack out because whats the point of buying prebuilt then

also open to other suggestions in the same price range, mid 200s or so. mostly freestyle, sometimes light proximity stuff nothing crazy

the nazgul eco v2 tune out of box is honestly not bad for a prebuilt but yeah it does feel a little mushy on the rolls compared to something properly tuned. took me maybe an hour of betaflight time to get it feeling good, mostly just bumped p and d a bit and turned on iterm relax. nothing wild. the esc stack they're shipping now is the successor x series i think, havent had any issues with it over about 40 packs. the motor temps were a bit high at first but that sorted itself out after break in.

if you already know betaflight it wont feel like a big deal to clean up the tune, its not broken stock just kinda soft. for pure freestyle i think its totally fine, ive taken mine into some tight spots and it holds lines well enough once you dial it in a little

have you looked at the diatone roma f5 v2 at all? i switched from building to prebuilts like a year ago and that thing came with a way tighter tune than i expected. granted i did still go in and adjust filtering a bit but the defaults were way more aggressive than the nazgul stuff ive tried. just something to compare before you commit
