how was flying in japan btw? ive been wanting to go but the drone rules there seem really strict from what i read, like you need permits for almost everywhere and most of the good spots are in control
so this just happened on my way back from japan and i thought id share because it was kind of stressful in the moment. had my mavic air 2 and three batteries in my carry on like you're supposed to, all the batteries were individually bagged and everything. TSA agent had no idea what they were looking at and pulled the whole bag. had to explain that lipo batteries for drones are allowed in carry on but not checked luggage and she kept saying she needed to get a supervisor. took like 15 minutes and i nearly missed my connection. the supervisor was fine and waved me through but man. always print out the FAA rules or whatever the relevant authority is and just have it ready on your phone because the front line staff genuinely dont always know
