so ive been flying for about 8 months now and i feel like this is the first time i actually got something worth showing people. went out to the lake near my house around 6:30 and the light was just doing its thing, you know? flew my mini 3 pro about maybe 150 feet up and did a slow reverse pull back from the treeline. no ND filter which i know i know but honestly the colors still came out pretty decent i think.

gonna try to upload a clip tomorrow when im not dead tired. anyone else been getting good light lately? feels like the last few weeks have been really good for golden hour stuff in general

yeah golden hour has been insane lately, dont even know why but the last two weeks especially. i'd say get the NDs though seriously even a cheap set makes such a difference for that smoother motion blur look. without them the footage always looks a little... video gamey? hard to explain. but pumped to see the clip when you post it

reverse pullbacks are kind of my go-to shot honestly. simple but it works every time if the scenery is good. post the footage, curious to see how the mini 3 handles that kind of dynamic range at sunset cuz ive heard mixed things about it compared to the older mini 2
