not sure if this is a me problem or a drone problem. got the nano plus about 6 weeks ago and ive been mostly flying it at a local park, open area, no issues. but yesterday i tried flying it toward a dense patch of trees maybe 200 meters out and the signal started dropping like crazy. returned to home kicked in twice on its own.

its not like i was going behind the trees, just flying toward them from pretty far away. the controller was in my hands the whole time i wasnt even doing anything unusual. wind was light, maybe 8-10 mph.

i dont know if its interference from something or if the nano just has weaker signal than i thought. i came from a tiny cheap camera drone so i dont really have a good baseline for what normal looks like on a real drone

the nano series uses a different transmission system than the evo 2 line so the range isnt quite the same, but 200m toward a treeline shouldnt be causing dropouts like that honestly. first thing id check is whether theres any wifi interference at that park ? schools, neighborhoods nearby can sometimes mess with the 2.4ghz channel. also make sure your phone doesnt have wifi enabled on the controller device, that can cause issues sometimes.

also try recalibrating the compass before your next flight if you havent done that recently. probably not the issue but worth doing anyway.

had somthing similar happen with mine, turned out i had a cell tower basically right behind me that i hadnt noticed. moved like 50 feet and it was totally fine after that. might be worth walking around the area a bit to see if position makes a difference before assuming its the drone
