ok so i just started flying like 6 weeks ago and i put together a little video of some clips from a hike i did last weekend. posted it on reddit and the feedback was... mixed. someone said my horizon wasnt level in half the shots which, fair, i didnt even notice until they pointed it out. another person said the music choice was bad which ok that ones just opinion i think

anyway im not really asking for validation or anything i just want to get better. if anyone wants to look at it and tear it apart go ahead, i can take it. main thing im struggling with is knowing when to cut vs letting a clip breathe, i tend to cut too fast i think but idk

the horizon thing is fixable in post, most editing software has an auto-level or you can just rotate manually. dont let that discourage you, literally everyone does it at first. the muscle memory for keeping it level while also thinking about framing and obstacle avoidance takes a while to build up

yeah cutting too fast is a real thing but honestly it depends on the music tempo too. if the track is slow and you're cutting every 2 seconds it'll feel chaotic, but if its a faster bpm it might actually work. hardest thing to learn is just trusting your gut and watching it back with fresh eyes the next day, stuff that felt fine at midnight looks totally different in the morning
