first time flying somewhere other than my neighborhood and wow its different

drove up to the coast last weekend, first time bringing my drone somewhere that wasnt just my backyard or the field near my house. i knew wind would be stronger near the ocean but i seriously underestimated it. the air4s was getting pushed around way more than im used to and i panicked a little when it started drifting and i couldnt tell how far it had gone because i lost my sense of scale without familiar landmarks around me. ended up landing early because i got spooked.

not a disaster or anything just a weird humbling experience. anyone else find that flying somewhere totally new messes with your spatial awareness? like at home i know exactly how far the church steeple is or whatever but somewhere new its all just... different
