ok so my friend group has kind of a running joke that i am physically incapable of landing without at least one arm snapping per session. its gotten to the point where i just keep a bag of spare 3inch arms at the field. anyway im looking at picking up either an iFlight Nazgul Evoque or one of the Flywoo Explorer setups and i cant find a good side by side that isnt just a sponsored youtube video where everything is magically perfect.

specifically i want to know about frame stiffness and how easy it is to get replacement parts without waiting three weeks for shipping from overseas. also does anyone know if the Evoque runs hot with the stock ESC or is that just people pushing it too hard. i feel like every thread i read about it someone is complaining about an ESC fire but then someone else says they've had zero issues for months

the ESC fire thing with the Evoque is real but its mostly people running 6S and not giving it proper airflow or theyre just pushing amps way past what makes sense for the build. if you keep it at 4S and dont do anything stupid with your throttle curves it runs fine in my experience. had mine for maybe 8 months with no drama. that said i did replace the capacitors early on just as a precaution because i'd read enough horror stories.

parts availability is the bigger question and honestly both brands are similar in that regard ? you're waiting on overseas shipping unless you get lucky with a US warehouse having stock. GetFPV sometimes carries iFlight frames domestically so thats worth checking before you order direct.

lol the arm breaking thing is a mood. i just build my own frames now out of thicker carbon because ive done the math and its cheaper than replacing manufacturer arms every other week. neither of those brands is going to solve the durability problem if you're crashing that consistently, thats just the reality. though Flywoo does use some decent carbon on their Explorer line, its not bad
