finally got some decent sunset shots over the reservoir — sharing here

so i've been flying my mini 3 for about 8 months now and honestly most of my stuff has been pretty mediocre, lots of shaky horizon issues and just bad timing with lighting. but last tuesday i got out there right before golden hour and just let it run. ended up with maybe 4 minutes of usable footage and some stills that i actually dont hate.

posted a short clip to my youtube (link in profile) if anyone wants to check it out and tell me what they think. genuinely open to criticism here, i know the color grading is probably off and i was experimenting with some lut i downloaded for free so. yeah. be honest

watched the clip, the water reflection stuff around the 1:40 mark was actually really nice. the color grading is a bit heavy yeah, feels slightly orange-pushed which is common with those free luts they tend to overcook the warm tones. try pulling back the saturation on just the reds/oranges in post and see if that helps it feel a bit more natural. overall though solid improvement, sunset over water is hard to mess up if your timing is good and yours was good

oh nice im also trying to get better at the golden hour stuff. what height were you flying at for those wider shots? i always feel like i go too high and lose the sense of scale with the water
