group flights always end up a mess for me lol

ok so went to my second group fly thing yesterday and i dont know man it just always feels chaotic. like everyones launching at the same time and nobody is really coordinating and i kept having to abort my shot because someones phantom wandered into my frame. the location was sick though, old abandoned fairground, like perfect for some creeper fpv stuff but i spent half the time just waiting for airspace to clear

maybe im just used to flying solo. do you guys actually enjoy flying with a bunch of randoms or is it more of a social thing and the flying is secondary

honestly for me its 100% social. i get my actual flying done on my own, the meetups are more about talking gear and seeing what other people are building. if you go in expecting to get clean footage youre gonna be disappointed every time

thats fair but i feel like it depends on the group. the club i fly with does a decent job of calling out when they're going up and roughly which direction, its not perfect but it helps. maybe the ones you've been to just dont have anyone organizing it at all? an abandoned fairground sounds amazing btw, how did you find that spot
