so i finally went to one of those club meetups after lurking on their facebook page for like 6 months and honestly it was a weird vibe at first. most of the guys there have been flying together for years and they kind of do their own thing, wasnt unfriendly just like... cliquey i guess. but then one older dude noticed i was just standing around and came over and we ended up chatting for like 2 hours about fpv vs cinematic stuff and he let me have a go on his long range wing which was insane. so yeah mixed bag but glad i went. might go back next month

this is pretty much every club i've ever visited tbh. the established guys have their routines and their spots and new people kind of have to prove they're serious before getting folded in. give it 2-3 visits and it gets way more comfortable. the ones worth sticking with are the ones where someone actually talks to you on the first day, sounds like yours had at least one good egg
