so we had like 12 people show up to our local club meetup last saturday and it was just pure chaos in the best possible way. someone kept flying into everyones shot, there was a near miss between a tiny whoop and someones cinelog, and at one point three people were trying to give a newbie conflicting advice at the same time while his quad just sat there idling on the ground. but like... i still had way more fun than flying alone. theres something about being around other people who are just as into this stuff that makes it worth the hassle. we ended up staying two hours longer than planned just chatting. anyway if your club hasnt done a casual group fly in a while just do it, even if its a little disorganized

this is exactly what ours are like lol. last time someone launched without checking and nearly took out a guy who was bending down to pick something up. everyone was fine but there was definitely a moment. still showed up the next month tho

honestly the conflicting advice thing is so real, i was the newbie at one of these a couple years back and i got like four different answers about why my rates felt weird. turns out i just had pitch and roll mixed up in betaflight but nobody actually looked at my setup they just assumed stuff. not complaining though i learned a lot just watching people fly
