honest thoughts on the Mini 4 Pro after 6 months ? is it actually worth it

so i've had the Mini 4 Pro since last fall and i keep seeing people asking if its worth the jump from the Mini 3 Pro or just getting into drones in general and i figured id just write out my actual experience instead of pointing people to youtube reviews that are basically just sponsored content dressed up as opinions

short version: yes its good but its not magic and there are things that genuinely annoy me still. the obstacle avoidance is way better than i expected, like genuinely saved my drone twice already in situations where i was being a bit cocky flying through trees. the 4K/60 footage looks great on my monitor but honestly i cant always tell the difference between this and what my buddy gets from his Mini 3 Pro unless were doing a direct side by side.

battery life is fine, i get maybe 28-30 mins realistically which is shorter than what DJI says but thats always the case. the RC2 controller is nice but the screen washes out in really bright sun which bugs me more than it probably should.

the thing that actually surprised me most was how stable it is in moderate wind. flew it in maybe 15-18mph gusts last month and it held position better than i expected for something so light. anyway if anyones got specific questions just ask, happy to compare notes

this is actually really helpful, i've been going back and forth on this for like two months now. my main thing is im mostly shooting real estate and the occasional family vacation stuff, nothing super cinematic. do you think the ActiveTrack is reliable enough for like, tracking someone walking or is it still a bit twitchy? ive heard mixed things and the reviews never really test it in normal situations, just like, skateboarders or whatever

pretty much matches my experience. had mine since shortly after launch and the RC2 screen thing is real, i ended up just buying a cheap hood for it off amazon and that mostly solved it. one thing i'd add is that if youre coming from an older drone the return to home is noticeably more accurate now, it used to land like 3-4 feet off and now its usually within a foot of where it took off which sounds minor but when youre landing on something small it matters. the price is still a lot but i dont think youll regret it if youre shooting regularly
