so i was at a family thing last weekend and someone asked what hobbies i have and i kind of just said photography instead of getting into the whole drone thing. mostly because last time i mentioned drones my uncle went on a 20 minute rant about privacy invasion and surveillance and whatever. its just not worth the conversation sometimes. anyone else just kinda avoid bringing it up or is that just me being weird about it

nah you're not weird, i get that exact same reaction from certain people. i usually just say aerial photography which somehow sounds less threatening to them i guess. its the word drone that sets people off, like they picture military stuff or something

honestly i talk about it all the time maybe too much haha. but yeah i have definitley learned to read the room. some people think its the coolest thing ever and want to see footage, others immediately go to the creepy neighbor spying angle. you kind of just know within the first few seconds which type youre dealing with
