feels like everytime i mention i fly drones people assume im trying to be a youtuber or sell stock footage or whatever. im really just out here becuase i think its fun and i like seeing places from up high. dont even post most of what i shoot. just wondering if thats weird or if other people are in the same boat, sometimes feels like the hobby got really commercialized and i dunno

nah youre not alone at all. I've been flying for years and have maybe posted like 4 clips total. most of my flights are just me goofing around over fields near my house. its more about the flying than the footage for me

same here. i tried doing the whole instagram thing for a few months and it just made flying feel like a job. went back to flying for fun and honestly enjoy it way more now. the pressure to get the perfect shot ruins it a bit
