ok so i finally went to one of those local club meetups my buddy kept telling me about. showed up with my mini 3 and everyone else had like full size 7 inch builds and fpv rigs and i felt like i brought a nerf gun to a gun range lol. people were nice enough but there was this unspoken thing where i could tell i was the odd one out. still cool to watch the fpv guys fly though, genuinely had no idea how fast those things move until you see it in person. gonna go back but maybe once i have something a bit more serious to bring

dont let it get to you, everyone started somewhere. i brought a phantom 4 to my first meetup and felt the same way next to all the racers. honestly after a few times people warm up and start asking questions regardless of what you fly

tbh the mini 3 is a solid bird, i wouldnt feel bad about it. some of those fpv guys can be a little cliquey but most are fine once you start talking. ask someone to explain their build and youll have a 45 minute conversation instantly
