so ive been flying for about 8 months now and wind is still the thing that gets me every time. like anything above 15mph and i start second-guessing every stick input. i fly a mavic 3 mostly and yeah it handles wind fine on paper but that doesnt mean i know what im doing when a gust hits mid-flight.
what i keep running into is this thing where i overcorrect ? wind pushes the nose and i jab the stick too hard and then im chasing the aircraft instead of flying it. my instructor told me to "relax your inputs" which okay fine but thats easier said than done when the thing is drifting toward a tree line.
is there like a specific way people practice this or do you just... fly in wind a lot until it clicks? i tried doing figure 8s in moderate wind the other day and it helped a little but im not sure if thats the right drill or if im just burning battery time without actually building muscle memory the right way
