Best budget nd filters for mini se?

  • Members

Im new to all this and keep seeing people talk about nd filters but holy crap some of these are expensive. I got the mini se as my first drone and dont want to spend more on filters than i did on the drone itself lol. Are the cheap ones from amazon any good or should i just save up for the freewell ones everyone seems to love? Also do i even need them or is it just like a nice to have thing

honestly for starting out the cheaper ones are fine. i got a set of k&f concept filters for like $40 and they work great. the freewell ones are definitely better quality but unless youre doing professional work the difference isnt huge. nd filters are pretty important if you want cinematic footage though - they let you keep your shutter speed at 2x your frame rate which makes motion look way smoother

dont waste money on expensive filters for the se. the camera quality is already pretty limited so fancy filters wont make a huge difference. get some basic ones from amazon, learn how to use them properly first, then upgrade later if you stick with the hobby. i made the mistake of buying expensive stuff right away and half of it just sits in a drawer now
