Had a hard landing with my M350 RTK yesterday (pilot error, misjudged descent rate in strong winds). Drone powers up fine, all systems check out green, but I'm getting persistent gimbal motor overload errors on the H20T camera unit.

Already verified the gimbal cover is off, checked for debris/obstructions, ran IMU calibration twice, and tried gimbal auto-cal which fails at 67%. The gimbal attempts its startup sequence but stops mid-rotation on the roll axis with the overload warning.

Before I send it back to DJI - anyone experienced similar symptoms? Could this be flex cable damage from the impact, or am I looking at a motor replacement? Flight logs show no abnormal vibration patterns before the incident.

Check if the gimbal assembly got physically jammed into the drone body from the impact - this is common with hard landings. Try gently separating the housing to relieve any mechanical pressure before assuming it's electrical failure.

I had identical symptoms on my M300 after a tree strike. Turned out to be the flex flat cable - if you're seeing intermittent jerky movements that worsen over time, that's almost certainly your issue. Cost me $180 for the gimbal arm replacement vs $600+ for motor rebuild.

If gimbal overload occurs after impact and self-check hasn't corrected it, manufacturer repair is recommended. Don't attempt disassembly yourself - these units have precise calibrations that can be permanently lost if you disturb the internal components.
