anyone going to the fly-in at Riverside park this weekend?

so i heard through the facebook group there's a casual fly-in happening at Riverside park saturday morning, someone said it starts around 9 but nobody confirmed. i've never been to one of these group things before and honestly a little nervous about flying around other people lol. my stick skills are decent but like... idk. is it weird to show up solo? do people usually just do their own thing or is there actual organized flying

dude just go, the riverside ones are always super chill. nobody's judging, half the people there are just standing around talking about gear anyway. last time i went i barely even flew, spent most of the morning looking at this guys custom long range build. just bring your stuff and show up, worst case you watch for a bit and leave

I went to my first fly-in last year not knowing anyone and it was actually really fun. People are generally pretty welcoming, at least in my experience. Bring extra batteries because time flies (no pun intended) and you'll want more air time than you think. Also maybe check the facebook group again closer to the day, these things sometimes shift locations last minute depending on wind or whatever.
