Module 17: Final Exam Preparation

FAA ACS — Reviews all Areas of Operation I–V (Tasks I.A–V.F)

This final module does not introduce new regulations — it pulls together everything from Modules 1 through 16 into a structured final review before you sit the real FAA Part 107 Knowledge Test. You'll learn exactly how the real test is scored and weighted, take full-length practice exams built the same way, learn to recognize the phrasing patterns that make certain questions feel harder than the underlying rule actually is, and know precisely what to expect on test day itself.

Learning outcomes

  • Explain the real Part 107 Knowledge Test's format, scoring, and how this course estimates each ACS Area's emphasis
  • Complete full-length, ACS-weighted 60-question practice exams built from this course's entire question bank
  • Recognize common FAA-style question traps — absolute qualifiers, superseded-rule distractors, confusable thresholds — before they cost you points
  • Know exactly what to bring, what to expect, and what happens immediately after you finish the real test

The five lessons in this module are sequenced to mirror how most successful candidates actually prepare in their final week of study. Lesson A explains the test itself — format, scoring, and how the FAA's Airman Certification Standards (ACS) divide the material into five Areas of Operation, along with this course's own ACS-grounded estimate of how much each Area is likely to be emphasized on the real test (the FAA does not publish an official percentage breakdown, so this is a reasonable proxy built from counting ACS Knowledge elements, not a leaked or official number).

Lessons B and C are full-length practice exams. Rather than a single fixed set of 60 questions, each pulls a fresh, randomly-selected 60-question set from this entire course's question bank every time you take it, weighted so that each ACS Area contributes roughly the same share of questions as Lesson A's weighting estimate. That means retaking either exam gives you a genuinely different set of questions to work through, not the same 60 questions memorized from a previous attempt.

Lesson D steps back from raw content and teaches the phrasing patterns the real test (and this course's own practice questions) commonly use to make a question feel trickier than the underlying rule actually is — absolute qualifiers, negatively-phrased questions, distractors built from superseded rules, and confusable numeric thresholds. Lesson E closes the module with the practical logistics of test day itself: what to bring, what the testing center provides, and what happens the moment you finish.
